……Tish Morris: The Walk, The Woman, The Power of Presence

In fashion, presence cannot be faked. It arrives before a word is spoken, lingers after the lights shift, and leaves an impression long after the runway empties. That is exactly what fashion model Tish Morris of Nashville, Tennessee brings to every room she enters. Known professionally as MzTish, she represents a kind of beauty that is seasoned, self-aware, and undeniably commanding. As Iconique Magazine continues to spotlight creatives who embody confidence and authenticity, Tish stands out as a woman whose image is not built on trend alone, but on substance, discipline, and lived-in elegance.
Tish has built her reputation in a way that speaks loudly to both the fashion world and to everyday women watching her journey. She is not only a plus-size model with a magnetic runway presence, but also a licensed beauty professional and entrepreneur whose creative identity stretches well beyond the catwalk. Public profiles tied to Styles By MzTish on Instagram and Styles By Mz. Tish on Facebook show a beauty creative rooted in transformation, polish, and confidence, while her professional booking presence on StyleSeat reinforces the business side of her brand. That duality makes her compelling. She understands presentation from the inside out, and that insight gives her an edge that cameras, designers, and audiences can feel.
Her modeling résumé also reflects a woman who has earned her place with consistency. Tish’s bio notes appearances at New York Fashion Week in both 2023 and 2025, including a featured walk for D’Voncii by Design House, placing her within one of fashion’s most recognized platforms. New York Fashion Week remains one of the industry’s defining showcases, with the CFDA’s official NYFW information and NYFW: The Shows underscoring the scale and prestige of that stage. Add to that her runway work in Dallas and Atlanta, along with her recognition through the Torrid Casting Call, and it becomes clear that Tish is building more than a portfolio. She is building visibility, credibility, and a legacy of representation.
What makes Tish especially important in this moment is that she embodies a fuller conversation about fashion, womanhood, and visibility. She is not asking permission to be seen. She is showing women what it looks like to take up space with style, maturity, and intention. That aligns naturally with the mission behind About Iconique Magazine, where the publication emphasizes expanding opportunity and celebrating creative work across fashion, music, and lifestyle. In Tish, readers will meet a woman who represents grown-woman beauty with grace and boldness, proving that confidence is not an accessory but a language all its own.

…..The Interview
Iconique Mag – For readers who are just getting introduced to you, who is Tish Morris, and how would you describe the woman behind the brand MzTish?
Tish Morris—MzTish—is a woman who decided she was going to become everything she once needed. I’m layered. I’m strength, softness, experience, and intention all wrapped into one. The brand isn’t separate from me—it is me. A woman who understands her power, moves with purpose, and refuses to shrink herself to make anyone else comfortable.
Iconique Mag – You are known as a Nashville-based plus-size fashion model, beauty entrepreneur, and runway professional. How do those three parts of your career work together to shape your identity in the fashion industry?
They don’t compete—they elevate each other. Modeling is the expression, beauty is the foundation, and entrepreneurship is the control. I don’t just show up to be styled—I understand the structure behind the look, the story behind the image, and the business behind the brand. That makes me more than a model. It makes me an asset.
Iconique Mag – You have walked in New York Fashion Week on multiple occasions, including 2023 and 2025. What does stepping onto a stage that big do for your confidence and your sense of purpose as a model?
New York Fashion Week doesn’t give you confidence—it reveals it. When I step onto that runway, I’m not hoping I belong. I already know I do. It sharpens my purpose. It reminds me that I’m not just walking—I’m representing a woman who’s been overlooked for far too long.
Iconique Mag – During NYFW 2025, you modeled for D’Voncii by Design House by designer Deondré Stephanie-Lynn. What was that experience like, and what did that moment mean for your career?
That moment felt intentional. The designs, the energy, the room—it all aligned. Walking for D’Voncii wasn’t about visibility, it was about positioning. It told me I’m not just participating in fashion anymore—I’m stepping into spaces where I’m meant to be remembered.
Iconique Mag – You have also walked in shows like Denim in Wonderland in Dallas and the Indie Fashion Show in Atlanta. How do you adjust your energy and presence for different cities, audiences, and designers?
Every city has a rhythm. Dallas might want bold and unapologetic, Atlanta loves flavor and attitude, and New York demands precision. I read the room, honor the designer’s vision, and then I add my signature. I don’t disappear into the look—I make sure the look feels me.
Iconique Mag – Your walk is often described as confident, commanding, and unforgettable. When you hit the runway, what mindset do you tap into to own that moment?
I tap into certainty. There’s no hesitation, no second-guessing. I walk like I’ve already been chosen. It’s not loud—it’s controlled, intentional, and felt. That’s the difference.
Iconique Mag – You earned national attention through the Torrid Model Search, advancing from Top 30 to Top 15. What did that recognition mean to you personally, and what do you think it said about your connection with the audience?
It meant that people see the truth in me. Not just the image—but the story, the resilience, the authenticity. That kind of connection can’t be forced. It told me that my presence resonates, and that matters more than anything.
Iconique Mag – Representation matters, especially in plus-size fashion. What has your journey taught you about showing up unapologetically and making space for grown-woman beauty in an industry that has not always been inclusive?
I’ve learned that waiting for acceptance is a waste of time. You walk in like the standard and let people adjust. Grown-woman beauty carries a different kind of weight—it’s seasoned, it’s confident, it’s undeniable. I don’t ask for space anymore. I take it.
Iconique Mag – You are also a licensed hairstylist and beauty entrepreneur with more than a decade of experience. How has your beauty background given you an advantage when it comes to modeling, branding, and visual storytelling?
It gives me control. I understand the details most people overlook—the way hair frames the face, how lighting hits texture, how a look translates on camera. I don’t just show up pretty—I show up polished with intention.
Iconique Mag – Public posts tied to Styles By Mz. Tish highlight your strong beauty identity, especially in short-hair styling and image transformation. How important is beauty artistry to the full picture of who you are as a model and creative?
It’s essential. Beauty is the first language people read before you ever speak. My work in short hair, especially, challenges what femininity is “supposed” to look like. It’s bold, it’s clean, it’s confident—and that energy carries into everything I do.
Iconique Mag – Because you understand both the model’s side and the stylist’s side, what do you think photographers, designers, and glam teams appreciate most about working with you?
I make the job easier. I understand timing, angles, direction, and energy. I don’t need to be micromanaged. I come in ready, I deliver, and I respect the process. That kind of professionalism stands out.
Iconique Mag – In your opinion, what makes a runway model memorable beyond just wearing the clothes?
Presence. Energy. Control. It’s how you make people feel in the few seconds you have. Clothes can be replaced. Presence can’t.
Iconique Mag – So many women look at accomplished models and assume confidence comes naturally. What would you say to women who are still learning how to embrace their bodies, their age, and their beauty?
Confidence is a decision you make over and over again. It doesn’t just show up—you build it. Start where you are and stop waiting to feel “ready.” You already are.
Iconique Mag – You are helping redefine beauty standards at every stage of life. What kind of impact do you hope your journey leaves on plus-size fashion and on women who see themselves in you?
I want women to see me and recognize possibility. To understand that beauty doesn’t fade—it evolves. And you can step into your power at any stage, unapologetically.
Iconique Mag – What have been some of the biggest lessons you have learned from balancing passion, professionalism, and purpose in such a competitive industry?
Stay consistent, stay prepared, and don’t let emotions override your professionalism. Passion will open doors, but discipline keeps them open. And purpose keeps you grounded when things shift.
Iconique Mag – Looking ahead, what are some goals, dream collaborations, or major fashion and beauty moves you would still love to make happen?
I see myself in major national campaigns, expanding deeper into brand partnerships, and building something that goes beyond modeling—something that creates opportunities for other women like me. Legacy matters to me.
Iconique Mag – Is there anything we left out that you wish to highlight?
Just that I’m still evolving. What you see now is only a glimpse of what’s coming.
Iconique Mag – How can our readers get in touch with you to follow and book you?
You can connect with me on Instagram at @tishtish615 and @stylesbymztish, or for your hair care needs you can book directly through Tishmorris.styleseat.com, also my email address is StylesByMzTish@Gmail.com. I’m open to bookings, collaborations, and opportunities that align with my brand.
