The Commons Club-Dallas Tx; Power Bowl Review

ICONIQUE MAGAZINE FOOD REVIEW: The Commons Club-Dallas Tx; Power Bowl Review. This food review was at The Commons Club inside the World Famous “Virgin Hotel” owned by Millionaire Richard Branson. Richard Charles Nicholas Branson is an English business magnate and the founder of the Virgin Group, a globally recognized brand. In 1970, Branson started Virgin as a mail-order record company, signing artists like the Rolling Stones and the Sex Pistols. The Virgin Group has since expanded into many sectors, including travel, banking, health, music, telecommunications, and leisure. Branson has also owned airlines, radio stations, and hotels.

I chose the “Power Bowl”. It consist of two Poached eggs, Quinoa, Wild Rice, Bulgar Wheat, Arugula (Rocket), Feta Cheese and Harissa Tahini. As you all know, I am a sucker for food presentations. When my waiter presented me with this dish I was in awe of how everything was well put together. In that moment I felt very rich and yet, very deserving of such an exquisite meal like this. This is definitely one of the benefits of working hard and always being in the right place at the right time and of course knowing the right people to help you get into those hard to reach places.

I recently became a fan of Quinoa and Wild Rice and the taste of it in this dish was superb. It had a smokey, nutty flavor that I like. My poached eggs was not over cooked and was soft and delicious. Usually I would have Hollandaise Sauce on top of my poached eggs. After tasting the eggs with the quinoa, I discovered that hollandaise sauce would not go with dish at all. Instead the Chef added my favorite “Pickled Onions” to this meal and it really made for an amazing experience on my tastebuds. The Guacamole and the Feta cheese was a bonus for me. It all came together very well in this amazing dish. I’m also a big fan of Arugula aka Rocket. The flavor of arugula alone will make any dish pop. Sometimes I would even put it on top of my favorite Pizza with some homemade sriracha sauce. Delicious!!!

If you get an opportunity to visit Dallas Texas its a must that you visit The Commons Club. You do not need a reservation to enjoy a great meal and the happy hour there is an Event in itself.
