If you are Looking for gourmet burgers, a perfect brunch spot, or a place with local brews & craft cocktails? – Chef Von
I knew I would be arriving in Clarksville Tn from St Louis Mo that morning on my way to Atlanta Ga so I opened Google and searched for the Best Breakfast spots in Clarksville and Dock 17 came up. I decided to give the restaurant some of my time.
Upon entering the restaurant I was met with that Southern Hospitality. Making me feel like I actually belong here. So the waiter escorted me to my table. There I met Iris and I promptly told her what I didn’t eat and what would she suggest I eat.

Iris, the server, was great, pleasant and professional. She suggested the waffles dish for me because of my dietary restrictions.
So I ordered the Southern Fried Chicken and Belgian Waffles. My first bite was amazing the Waffles had this nutty flavor, crunchy on the outside and sweet and tender on the inside. That’s the way I enjoy my chicken and waffles.
Usually the chicken and waffles come with whole wings, but this came with fried battered chicken tenders. That to me added a fantastic touch to this dish because me having to pick through the bones can be cumbersome at times when I can just devour the whole chicken tender.
Iris (My Server) also suggested that I pair it with an ice cold lemonade and yes, the combination worked well. She also suggested that I add honey mustard, syrup and whipped butter cream. Then I asked the question, “Honey Mustard?” She said “try it, you will not be disappointed”….and she was right.
The chicken tenders were very delicious, very juicy and flavorful. The crust was seasoned to perfection. I’m so glad I stopped using in.
I am well pleased with Dock 17 in Clarksville Tennessee.
I also spoke with Shift manager Anthony and he invited me to come back soon.
