Indie Fashion St Louis by Iconique Magazine
It was a great day for fashion in St Louis Mo. The recent Indie Fashion Show in St. Louis held on July 13th, 2025—a new stop on the “Heart of Independent Fashion Tour”—made a bold statement about local creative energy. The July 13th event at JAVA on Manchester Ave was a curated celebration of emerging designers, models, and stylists in the region and Iconique Magazine was there to capture every aspect of this amazing event.
Indie Fashion is a Detroit based fashion show brand that brings multiple elements together to create one of the best fashion shows to be held. Indie Fashion Show includes stops in Atlanta, Milwaukee, St Louis, Detroit and the coveted New York Fashion Week held in early September of any given year.

🎤 Atmosphere & Venue
JAVA is a stylish and intimate event space nestled in the Grove neighborhood, offered moody lighting, brick accents, and just enough room to feel exclusive without being stuffy. Videos from the show reflected a welcoming crowd, engaged in the mix of entertainment, runway, and social moments.

✨ Runway & Presentation
The runway showcased a mix of avant-garde silhouettes and wearable streetwear, underscoring the “independent” ethos—designs that push the envelope without losing functionality. Models included fresh faces from the local scene—many discovered during April and May 2025 model calls in St. Louis. The energy was palpable, with hair and makeup choices that leaned bold and expressive. The runway also included the Indie Curve Collective. It is a movement created to elevate, empower, and amplify plus-size talent across the fashion industry. This platform is open to all genders and is designed to challenge outdated standards by celebrating body diversity, confidence, and style without limits.

This edition seems to have strengthened the local indie fashion network. The Takeaway – St. Louis Indie Fashion Show isn’t trying to replicate big-city gloss—it’s intentionally grassroots, raw, and colorfully personal. It channels the best of what independent fashion stands for: experimentation, inclusion, and creative community. With some refinement in production and broader storytelling, this platform could grow into a defining force in the Midwest’s emerging fashion circuit. For anyone invested in the intersection of fashion and culture—whether as a designer, model, or creative collaborator—this show is a must-watch. It’s a celebration in progress, and I’m excited to see its next act. Iconique Magazine is proud to have covered this amazing fashion show.
