About Bad Gyal:

Bad Gyal burst onto the scene in 2016 and immediately turned heads with her boundary-pushing fusion of Latin and Caribbean dance music, empowering lyricism, and future-forward aesthetic and style. Hailing from Barcelona, Spain, her music became synonymous with youthfulness and sex appeal, cementing her status as Urbano royalty. She captivated audiences with a groundbreaking approach to music and has since collaborated with legends such as Karol G, Rauw Alejandro, J. Balvin, Anitta, Ozuna, and many more.

Bad Gyal first rose to cult fame when she self-released a version of Rihanna’s “Work” sung in the Catalan language on YouTube. She followed this with two mixtapes, Slow Wine (2016) and Worldwide Angel (2018), and was promptly discovered and signed to Interscope Records and Universal Music Latino. In 2021, she released Warm Up, an EP that debuted in the Top 10 of Spotify’s Global Albums Chart and featured collaborations with artists like Rauw Alejandro, Rema, Khea, and Juanka, accumulating over 150 million streams across platforms.

This momentum led to Bad Gyal being crowned “Best Spanish Act” at the MTV European Music Awards in 2022 and paved the path for sold-out arena shows in Barcelona (Palau Sant Jordi) and Madrid (Wizink Center) in 2023. Following this, Bad Gyal released one of her biggest crossover hits, “Chulo Pt 2”, featuring two other exciting voices, Tokischa and Young Miko. These concerts and the single marked the beginning of a new era for Bad Gyal, where she began unveiling songs that would form her debut album, La Joia.

The 15-track album boasts collaborations with Anitta, Tokischa, Young Miko, Myke Towers, Ñengo Flow, and more. It fuses Urbano genres with Latin dance music, featuring production from El Guincho, Scott Storch, Nely El Arma Secreta, and others. The album soared to the top of Spanish charts and was officially certified RIAA Gold in both Spain and the United States.

A force on the live stage, Bad Gyal has sold out tours across multiple continents and graced the covers of Vogue España, Highsnobiety, and GQ España (where she was named “Woman of the Year”), while collecting awards such as “Best Urbano Artist” at last year’s LOS40 Music Awards.

The former fashion student is also a style icon, known for her bold fashion sense and partnerships with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Loewe, Rabanne, Valentino, and LUAR. With new music and collaborations on the horizon, Bad Gyal’s mission to be the voice of a generation rings truer every day.
